was awesome. There are a few new people, and one of them doesn't really stop smiling. Makes it fun. :)
Vickie, from the IMPACT team for Peru asked me if I was planning on bringing my unicycle with to Peru. Ha! That would be hilarious, and absolutely amazing at the same time.
I'm still working on those pictures from yesterday.
I sort of want to go out and dance somewhere. Really bad.
My email inbox won't load on my computer, I had to go downstairs to checka my email, Strong Bad style.
I slept in a very warm room last night, not something that I'm accustomed to at all.
I need to go read, and pray. More in general, methinks. Finishing the last chapter of a book called
Ten Keys for Unlocking the Bible . The guy who wrote the book pastors a church in arlington heights, melanie and I might go visit the church to see what he's like.
This Spring Break has been really good so far.
I'm meeting with Matt tomorrow morning, and then jamming with people in the afternoon. It should rock.
I've been hearing comments, from teachers and others that Middle School's main purpose is to boost the kid's self esteem.
"
They may stink in math and science, but at least they feel really, really good about themselves." I dunno about this, but I know for me, middle school was absolutely no fun. I disliked it so much, that I decided to be homeschooled during my 8th grade year. I think that it's a step in school, and things should be learned. I think our entire education system could and should be a lot harder actually. With the exception of Chemistry last year, school is really easy, and has been really easy since i've ever been in public school. I know middle school has lots of pain, and kids insulting and hurting each other. Not fun.
I'm really thankful to go to a large high school, where segregation and cliques are nearly impossible. And we don't have to worry about getting beat up in the hallways or anything like that. I've heard some scary stories about other schools, like my cousin's, where they have 3 or 4 cops in the school, and their school is more than half as small as mine is.
Meh. Just some random thoughts.
Thank YOU!
Love,
David
